Man charged after fleeing accident scene
3/25/2013A Waterville man who allegedly fled a traffic accident after he crashed a car through a garage wall in Waterville has been charged in Maumee Municipal Court.
Johnathan E. Bresler, 21, 365 Anthony Wayne Trail, Apt. 111, was charged with failure to control, leaving the scene of an accident, expired plates, no operator’s license, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court records. He is scheduled to appear for an arraignment at 9 a.m., April 5.
He was arrested about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at his apartment a few blocks from the crash scene. According to reports, he was driving south on Anthony Wayne Trail and clipped another vehicle that was in front of him and then went out of control, hitting a gas-main valve and a pole, and then crashed through a wall of a detached garage at the rear of 210 Lexington Ave.
