Toledo police were pursuing a Temperance man in a high-speed chase early Monday when a woman jumped from his vehicle, police said.

The woman, who police say Steven Lotozynski, 33, of 119 Preswick St., solicited, had “minor injuries,” according to court documents.

Police reportedly saw the suspect solicit the woman, who got into his vehicle, and tried to initiate a traffic stop at East Hudson and Elm streets. Mr. Lotozynski led police Lt. Ed Bombrys on a chase — driving at an unspecified “high-rate of speed” before stopping near 109th Street in Point Place.

The woman, Jennifer Newton, 32, of 2060 N. 14th St. jumped from the vehicle during the pursuit at East Manhattan and I-280, police said. She told police she jumped because she did not want to be in the vehicle and the suspect refused to stop. Ms. Newton was charged with solicitation; her bond in Toledo Municipal Court was set at $200.

Mr. Lotozynski is charged with failure to comply and unlawful restraint. His bond was set at $16,000 during arraignment in Toledo Municipal Court.
