Man wanted for allegedly kidnapping woman at knifepoint

A man described by Toledo police as being extremely violent is wanted for allegedly abducting the mother of his child at knifepoint.

Larry Franco, Jr., 21, of 914 Willow Ave., is charged in Toledo Municipal Court with domestic violence, aggravated robbery, intimidation, and two counts of abduction.

In March, the suspect was accused of locking the victim in an East Toledo bedroom where he punched her repeatedly and forbade her from leaving. If she tried to leave, he warned her, he would kill her, their 2-year-old daughter, and himself, according to documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Charges of domestic violence and abduction were filed against Mr. Franco for the March 20 incident. He was never found and arrested by authorities. On Tuesday, the victim reported to police that the suspect attacked her again.

The victim told police she was leaving an East Toledo home for work and carrying her daughter when the suspect came from between two houses, rushed the victim, and forced her into a vehicle at knifepoint, according to court documents.

The suspect reportedly threatened to kill the victim and blamed her for "ruining his life" by filing the March 20 charges, court documents state.

The victim told police she screamed for help and pleaded for the suspect to leave her alone; she complied with his demands to get into a car, she said, out of fear.

The victim was able to escape by hitting a car horn, and jumping from the car with her daughter. The suspect took the victim's purse and ran, police said.

The suspect is described by authorities as Hispanic, 5 feet, 8 inches, 117 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes. Police ask that anyone with information about the suspect's whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
