Two people were injured early Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on northbound I-75 in Wood County, about two miles north of State Rt. 582, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Kyle A. Napier, 26, of Oregon was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition. Finesse Stevens, 19, of Cleveland was treated at St. Luke's Hospital. She was a passenger in a car driven by Alyssa Trass, 19, of Dayton.

Troopers said Mr. Napier’s car struck the rear of the Trass vehicle about 3:40 a.m., sending it off the right side of the road into the ditch.

Mr. Napier, who was wearing a seat belt, was trapped in his car after it went off the left side of the interstate and overturned in the median.

Mr. Napier was cited for failing to maintain an assured clear distance.
