$1M bond set for man charged in stabbings

Bond was set at $1 million Monday for a Toledo man charged with stabbing two people — one fatally — in East Toledo man last month.

John Garcia, Jr., 33, of 572 Howland Ave. was indicted last week by a Lucas County grand jury on two counts of murder and one count of felonious assault for the March 28 stabbing death of Christopher Ogden, 30, of Toledo, and the non-fatal stabbing of Brenda Watts, 36, of Toledo.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Dean Mandros set Garcia’s arraignment for April 22.
