Fire in central Toledo

Fire crews fought a house fire in central Toledo today, authorities said.

There were no reports of injuries that would require hospitalization, according to the Lucas County EMS.

Fire crews arrived at 2811 Albion St. about 3:30 a.m. and attacked the blaze, according to the Toledo fire department. Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 8:40 a.m., at which time they left the scene, a fire dispatcher said.

The dispatcher did not say whether the house was vacant or occupied.

The Lucas County Auditor's Web site lists Gillard Delano V. Wellington as the owner of the two-story, wood frame house. It was built in 1897.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. The damage estimate wasn't available.
