Toledo police are asking for help in identifying a man who stole laundry detergent from a North Toledo store.

A police report states that at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, an employee at Family Dollar, 3020 Cherry St., saw a man cutting a security tag from a 75-ounce bottle of laundry soap. When confronted, the suspect threw a brick at the employee and then ran out of the store.

The report states six bottles of the soap were taken.

The man is described as black, with glasses, a mustache and goatee, and was wearing a black baseball hat with a white symbol on the front and white stripe along the brim, a black jacket with the number “3” on the right sleeve, and black jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
