The aftermath of a possible house collapse at 1408 N. Huron St. in North Toledo.
THE BLADE/DAVE ZAPOTOSKY
No one was believed to be injured today when a house exploded in North Toledo shortly after 1 p.m. today.
The home at 1448 N. Huron St., near Bush Street, crashed to the ground after neighbor Sonya McCollum said her husband heard a hissing sound and asked her to call the gas company.
As she stepped away, the newer 1999 home exploded. When fire crews arrived, the home was already destroyed, with its front door found across the street.

Terry Glazer, the head off the community development group United North, said the house is one in its tax credit program. He said tenants had moved out more than a week ago. No problems were detected during a walk through recently, he said.
Mr. Glazer said at the scene today that he suspected vandalism.
Authorities have not yet released the cause.
