Police seek man with gun after 2 robbery attempts at N. Toledo hotels

In a six-minute time frame Sunday night, two North Toledo hotels were robbed by an armed man, according to police reports.

The first robbery was reported at 11:40 p.m. at Fairfield Inn & Suites, 5685 Benore Rd.

A man went into the hotel, showed he had a gun, and jumped over the front counter to demand cash from an employee, the report states.

The suspect did not get any cash, but fled on foot.

At 11:46 p.m., and about a half mile away, a man went into a Hampton Inn, 5865 Hagman St., showed he had a gun and demanded cash from an employee.

The suspect did not get any money, and fled on foot.

A description of the suspect was not available.
