MONROE -- Two men were arrested and charged with attempted murder following a fight early today that injured three others, two of them critically, in a Berlin Charter Township mobile-home park, authorities said.

The suspects, men ages 26 and 21, were booked into the Monroe County jail pending arraignment, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Their identities were withheld, but deputies said they are from Monroe County.

Monroe County deputies were sent to the Americana Mobile Home Park, on Gladys Street near Telegraph Road, at 4:39 a.m. following a 911 call during which dispatchers could hear fighting in the background. They found three injured men on Gladys, including a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old with severe head injuries and a 20-year-old with injuries described as minor.

All three were taken to an unnamed area hospital for treatment, where the two men with head injuries were in critical condition later Saturday, deputies said. The three victims, also not named in the report, were said to be from the Monroe area.

Investigators determined the fight broke out during a party in a home on Gladys and attracted neighbors' attention when it spilled out into the street. The incident remained under investigation later Saturday, and anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 734-240-7530.
