5 injured in Richfield Twp. crash

Five people, including a year-old child, were injured, one seriously, in a car crash Friday night on West Central Avenue in Richfield Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Christie Hatley, 38, the driver, was taken to Toledo Hospital, according to the patrol's post in Bowling Green. She was listed in serious condition, a hospital spokesman said.

The passengers - Elizabeth Golebiewski, 53, of Fayette, Ohio, and Jessica Asbury, 29, Angelica Asbury, 28, and Serenity Seragon, 1, all of Toledo, were transported to area hospitals for minor injuries, according to the patrol.

The car was driving east on West Central at Washburn Road about 9:40 p.m. when it drove left of center, went off the road and then struck a tree and overturned, troopers said.

All occupants wore seat belts, the patrol said.

The crash remained under investigation.
