Firefighters with the Sylvania Township Fire Department contained a small fire at the White Family Collision Center today.

Deputy Fire Chief Michael Froelich said the fire department was alerted to the fire at 5328 Alexis Rd. at 12:45 p.m. Although the cause is not known, Chief Froelich said the fire started in the ventilation system of the auto body shop's paint booth. There were no cars inside the booth when the fire ignited. No one was injured.

The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire. The business is open as usual and has a second paint booth that is operational.
