Clyde woman in critical condition after crash

A Clyde, Ohio woman remains in critical condition at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo today after crashing her motorcycle Sunday evening.

Troopers from the Toledo post of the State Highway Patrol said Debra Klotz, 42, was driving a 2013 Harley Davidson 883 on County Road 197, east of County Road 179 in Green Creek Township, when the motorcycle crashed at 7:10 p.m.

Troopers said Mrs. Klotz failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch. Mrs. Klotz, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle.

Although the investigation is ongoing, troopers said they do not believe alcohol is a factor in the crash.

No charges have been filed.
