Toledoan, 31, sought in central-city shooting

Charges have been filed against a Toledo man accused in a shooting Tuesday night. Ramon Young, 31, of 16 Prescott St. is charged with one count of felonious assault and remains at large.

Injured in the 9:40 p.m. shooting was Leon Blackwell, 32.

The victim told police he was outside 218 Pulaski St., in central Toledo, when someone shot him in his left thigh. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio.

A witness told police that a blue vehicle, either a Kia or Hyundai, driven by a woman pulled up to the victim, a man got out, and a single shot was fired.

Authorities describe Young as a black man who is about 5 foot 6 inches tall, and 180 pounds.
