TIFFIN, Ohio — State troopers say two teenage brothers have been killed in a two-vehicle crash in northern Ohio.
The State Highway Patrol said it happened Thursday afternoon near the village of Republic, east of Tiffin.
Killed were 17-year-old Phillip Bollinger and his 15-year-old brother Dillon of Bloomville.
Phillip Bollinger was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier when he ran a stop sign and crashed into an SUV at an intersection. The patrol said the driver of the SUV and three passengers suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
Seat belts were in use in both vehicles. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.
