Water line construction that began Thursday on part of Collingwood Boulevard will close lanes and intersecting streets through July, the city transportation division announced.

Construction will be on Collingwood’s northbound side between Machen Street and Melrose Avenue, with two-way traffic maintained in the southbound lanes.

On June 17, 23rd Street will be closed at Collingwood for one day. Also that day, lane closings will be extended south to Monroe, with two-way traffic maintained and intermittent side-street closings.

The water line construction is scheduled to continue through July 31, after which the street is to be rebuilt between Monroe and Central Avenue, requiring additional traffic restrictions.
