MONROE — Four suspects were arrested Friday for their alleged roles in a home invasion and abduction at an apartment that forced Monroe Middle School and two private elementary schools into lockdown.

Three of the suspects were arrested about 8 a.m. near the home of a woman who was taken from her apartment in the 100 block of West Front Street. The woman, who had been driven to the Newport, Mich., area and taken back to her home earlier that morning, was found unharmed near her home.

A fourth suspect was apprehended in Toledo near Alexis and Telegraph roads Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The unidentified suspects were in the Monroe County jail awaiting arraignments.

The middle school, St. John Catholic School, and Trinity Lutheran School went on lockdown just after 8 a.m. The lockdown was lifted at 10:30 a.m.
