Bryan man, 88, killed in Defiance County crash

NEY, Ohio –  A Bryan, Ohio, man was killed when the car he was driving crashed on State Rt. 15 in this Defiance County community today, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Robert Kibble, 88, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the patrol's Defiance post. He did not wear seat belts, troopers said.

Mr. Kibble was driving south on Route 15 at State Rt. 249 about 8:45 a.m. when for unknown reasons the car drove off the T-shaped intersection and struck a utility pole, the patrol said.

The crash remains under investigation.

Ney is about 50 miles southwest of Toledo.
