A man who was critically injured last Friday in a two-vehicle collision on southbound U.S. 23, about one mile south of Summerfield Road in Monroe County, has died, officials said.

Seth Winter, 23, of Toledo, was the driver of a 1983 Ford Mustang passenger car, which was traveling on US-23 in the right lane when his vehicle rear-ended a 2008 Honda Odyssey mini-van, which was driven by Timothy Kreps, 66, of Toledo.

The mini-van was stopped in the right lane because of a construction zone, authorities said.

Mr. Winter was transported to Toledo Hospital after the accident and remained there until he died on Monday night.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office-Traffic Services Division.
