The Toledo Police Department raised $97,495 in a forfeited car auction Saturday.

Held at the Toledo Police impound lot on Dura Avenue, the event sold more than 90 seized cars, campers, and rims. The biggest sale item was a 2006 Ford Mustang that sold for $8,150, Sgt. Mark Taylor said.

Most of the profits — $74,550 — goes into the city’s general fund, while the remaining $22,945 will go toward the law enforcement trust fund, Mr. Taylor added.

The police department held its last vehicle auction on April 13.
