LAMBERTVILLE – A Bedford Township bank was robbed today by a man wearing a skeleton-style ski mask, sheriff's deputies said.

The robbery at Fifth Third Bank, 3559 Sterns Rd., was reported at 9:06 a.m.

Witnesses told Monroe County Sheriff's deputies that an armed man went into the bank, showed a teller his gun, and demanded cash.

The employee gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money and the suspect fled out a door and into a wooded area west of the bank.

The suspect is described as thin, about 6 feet tall, wearing the mask, a long-sleeve light-colored shirt, and khaki pants.

Although there were several customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, no one was injured.

The investigation is ongoing and officials ask that anyone with information call the detective bureau at 734-840-7530.
