Two men hit in Norwood shooting identified

Police have identified the men wounded in an early morning shooting as John and Parrish Crutchfield.

The victims, 19 and 25 years old respectively, were reported shot at 1:51 a.m. in the 900 block of Norwood Avenue.

Both victims were taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

John Crutchfield, who was treated and released, was shot in his torso and a foot; Parrish Crutchfield was shot in an arm; he is in fair condition, a hospital spokesman said.

The victims reported to police that they were on their front porch when at least two people started shooting from a vacant lot next door.

At least 10 other people, including small children, were inside the home at the time of the shooting. However, no one inside was hurt.

Numerous shell casings were found. The home where the brothers live was struck 11 times.
