Boy, 10, hit by a van in Findlay is identified

FINDLAY — Authorities have identified a Findlay youth as the bicyclist who was struck by a van and injured Thursday on a city street.

Ian Oehler, 10, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital and then transferred by medical helicopter to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Findlay police said. His condition was not available at midday today.

Van driver Rosalinda Flores, 38, also of Findlay, stopped at the scene of the 5:55 p.m. collision in the 700 block of Sixth Street, police said. The incident remained under investigation today.

Findlay, the seat of Hancock County, is about 45 miles south of Toledo.
