Toledo police are asking for help in solving a double homicide that happened at a central-city home in September, 2011.

Andrew Bake and Tanja Cathey, both 28, were found dead Sept. 29 at their home in the 2200 block of Sanford Street. A 2-year-old boy was found alive, police said.

Baker, shot in the neck, was found on the living room floor. Ms. Cathey, his girlfriend, was dead in an upstairs bedroom, according to authorities. She suffered two gunshot wounds to the right side of her head and to her neck, the Lucas County Coroner’s Office said.

Neighbors reported hearing two series of gunshots about 6 a.m. that day. The crime doesn’t appear to have been random, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.
