Citizen police academy to be held in Wood Co.

BOWLING GREEN — Civilians will have the chance this fall to enroll in a Citizen’s Police Academy, a program organized by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.

From Sept. 12 to Nov. 14, classes will be held at the sheriff’s office every Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.

Students will learn about the duties of the sheriff's office and the operations. Other Wood County and state agencies involved in crime prevention will make an appearance.
