Bond set at $50,000 for suspect in Subway robbery

A Toledo man accused of robbing an east side sandwich shop was arraigned today.

Jason Gayer, 36, of 1211 Starr Ave., is charged with one count of robbery. Toledo Municipal Court Judge Michelle Wagner ordered his bond be set at $50,000.

He is to appear in court again July 15.

Police said a man went into Subway, 648 Main St., at 7:55 p.m. Saturday and demanded money from an employee.

The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Mr. Gayer was arrested Sunday afternoon at his apartment.
