Eatery robbery suspect jailed on $50,000 bond

Toledo man was arrested on Sunday


A Toledo man accused of robbing an East Toledo sandwich shop remained in the Lucas County jail Monday night.

Jason Gayer, 36, of 1211 Starr Ave., is charged with one count of robbery and was held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Police said a man went into Subway, 648 Main St., at 7:55 p.m. Saturday and demanded money from an employee. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Mr. Gayer was arrested Sunday afternoon at his apartment. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
