The dead woman was the driver of a car that was northbound on Township Road 251 that failed to yield to a westbound sport utility vehicle on County Road 7 driven by Wynter Jones, 34, of Tiffin, deputies said. Ms. Jones and a passenger, Mariel Andrews, 19, of Bellevue were both taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital for their injuries.

The woman's name was withheld pending notification of relatives after the 2:06 p.m. collision. The investigation continued later Monday.
