A gas line break in West Toledo on Wednesday morning caused minor disruptions.
The 4-inch, medium-pressure line was broken by construction crews working on Central Avenue between Upton Avenue and Jackman Road. The damage was reported to Columbia Gas just before 9 a.m., a gas company spokesman said.
The Ohio Department of Transportation reported Central was closed for about four hours. A department spokesman said the leak was related to ongoing construction along nearby I-475.
Three residences on Central were evacuated for several hours as a precaution. No customers were without gas services.
