A program designed to bring fresh produce to low-income shoppers through the Toledo Farmers' Market will begin today in the parking lot of Lucas County Jobs and Family Services. The market at the family-services agency at 3210 Monroe St. is expanding to twice a month during July, August, and September. It will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

The program began last year in the parking lot targeting JFS jobs agency employees and client and neighborhood residents and businesses.

Shoppers can use cash, credit, or food stamps for purchases.
