A 13-year Lucas County sheriff’s deputy was named in a three-count indictment handed up Thursday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Paul Little, 40, of 2932 Lambert Dr., was indicted on charges of unlawful transactions of weapons and intimidation of an attorney, victim, or witness in a criminal case. The grand jury declined to indict Mr. Little’s brother, David Little, 36, of the same address on an intimidation charge.

Paul Little, who was placed on administrative leave, was working in the county jail when he allegedly gave a 9mm gun to a paid informant working for the sheriff’s office. He allegedly told Toledo police saying it had been stolen from his car.

According to court records, after the informant returned the gun, the deputy told police he found the gun at his home. The charges allege Mr. Little, after learning the man was an informant, called him and threatened to kill him.
