Toledo Police investigating 2 shootings that injured 3

Police are investigating two overnight shootings that sent three people to local hospitals.

The first shooting at South Toledo's Rocket Bar, 135 S. Byrne Rd., was reported at 1:53 a.m. today.

Two people, Damon Mays and Eliujuan Green, whose ages and addresses were not immediately available, were shot, according to police records.

Their conditions were not known.

Another shooting in Toledo's central city, in the 300 block of Winthrop Street, sent one person to the hospital, at about 5:15 a.m. today.

The victim has been identified as Adam Anderson. No other information about Mr. Anderson or his condition was available.

Other shootings were reported over the weekend.

Sunday, at about 3 a.m., Michael Jackson, 20, was shot dead at an apartment in the central city at 1605 W. Central Ave. Toledo police said the victim was shot by his girlfriend's estranged husband, David Zielinski, 33, of Swanton.

Mr. Zielinski is charged with aggravated murder but has not been arrested.

Jamal Brown was shot in a leg in the 1700 block of Macomber Street Sunday at 4:08 p.m.

Early Saturday morning, at 1:28 a.m., a house on West Toledo's Winona Street was shot into. No injuries were reported.

William Betts was wounded in a shooting at 4:30 a.m. Saturday at Dorr and Pelee streets.

Friday afternoon, one man was shot at in the 1000 block of Avondale Avenue, but not struck.
