Police investigating after body found in Fremont home

FREMONT -- Police are investigating a possible homicide after a body was found early today at a residence in this Sandusky County community, authorities said.

It is unclear yet whether the body is male or female, according to Fremont police. It appears to an adult, police said.

Police officials said they found the body about 1:45 a.m. at a residence at 140 Morrison St. after someone called them to the scene.

An autopsy at the Lucas County Coroner's office has been scheduled, police said.

Fremont, the seat of Sandusky County, is about 33 miles southeast of Toledo.
