Suspect in murder 
arrested near Michigan


A Toledo man who has been on the run since Sunday was arrested Tuesday for the shooting, stabbing, and beating death of a Toledo man.

David Zielinski, 33, of Swanton Township is charged with aggravated murder in the death of Michael Jackson, 20.

He was being held late Tuesday without bond in the Lucas County jail.

Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said Mr. Zielinski was arrested by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, with the help of detectives from the Toledo Police Department, at Pilot Gas Station, 5820 Hagman Rd., near the Michigan border.

Police allege that the suspect killed Mr. Jackson early Sunday as he slept at 1650 W. Central Ave. Mr. Jackson was dating the suspect’s estranged wife, Amber Hayes.
