2-vehicle accident kills man

Perrysburg man dead, 3 others injured in separate Waterville Twp. crash

An 89-year-old Perrysburg area man was killed and three others were hurt Monday in a two-vehicle accident on Dutch Road in Waterville Township.

Walter F. Baker, who was a passenger in a car driven by his daughter, Mary Ann Lillis, was pronounced dead at the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly Medical College of Ohio, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Ms. Lillis, 52, of Littleton Colo., and her sister, Susan Baird, 55, of Centennial, Colo., who also was a passenger, were listed in good condition Monday night in Toledo Hospital.

Haley Davis, 15, who was a passenger in the other vehicle, which was driven by her mother, Jodie Perry, 39, of Swanton Township, was treated at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee.

Troopers said Ms. Perry was driving east on Dutch about 1 p.m. when she failed to stop at Waterville Monclova Road, colliding with the car driven by Ms. Lillis, who was westbound on Dutch and attempting to turn left at the intersection.

Mr. Baker, of Middleton Township, was a passenger in the front seat of his daughter's car. He was wearing his safety belt.
