BOWLING GREEN — A Pennsylvania man was held in the Wood County jail late Monday on $250,000 bond, after authorities say they found more than 30 pounds of marijuana in the car he was driving Saturday night.

Joseph M. Darrah, 30 of Felton, Pa., was charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana, which are third-degree felonies.

A court hearing Monday in Wood County was continued.

Troopers report that they stopped a rented sport utility vehicle for a speed violation on the Ohio Turnpike in Wood County just before 8 p.m.

According to troopers, a drug-sniffing canine found 27 vacuum-sealed bundles of marijuana, which weighed 33 pounds.

They have an estimated street value of almost $150,000 authorities said.
