SANDUSKY - A Sandusky woman died today after authorities say she drove her car through a stop sign and pulled into the path of another vehicle on Bogart Road.

Juanita Crawford, 73, was driving southbound on Campbell Street at 3:30 p.m. when she failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path of Irene Mann, 75, of Vickery, Ohio, who was driving west on Bogart Road, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. Ms. Mann's car struck Ms. Crawford's car on the driver's side and both vehicles came to a stop in the intersection, which was closed for about two hours, authorities reported.

Ms. Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene. Ms. Mann suffered injuries and transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center for treatment, where she was later released, according to a hospital spokesman.

Both Ms. Crawford and Ms. Mann were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, the patrol said.
