4 sobriety checkpoints slated for weekend

Area law enforcement agencies will conduct sobriety checkpoints between 8 p.m. today and 2 a.m. Sunday at four locations in Lucas County.

The checkpoints will be at: Reynolds Road south of Central Avenue; on Central near Exmoor Drive; on Airport Highway east of I-475/U.S. 23, and on Central west of King Road.

Each checkpoint will operate for about 90 minutes and then will move to the next location.

The checkpoints are being funded through a federal grant.
