Delta driver killed, 3 passengers injured

DELTA — A Delta motorist was killed, and three passengers were injured about 2 a.m. Sunday after his pickup went off Fulton County Road J and overturned in a field.

Nathan Parsons, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Toledo post. Mr. Parsons and passengers Aaron Betz, 23, of Delta and Paige Mackenzie Simon, 21, of Metamora were thrown from the truck.

Mr. Betz was admitted to Toledo Hospital with severe injuries. His condition was not available; Ms. Simon was admitted to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with serious injuries. A hospital spokesman said no condition was listed for her.

Ashley Herr, 22, of Metamora, the third passenger, was taken to the Fulton County Health Center with minor injuries, troopers said. She wore a seat belt.

The pickup was on County Road J east of County Road 5-2, northwest of Delta, when it went off the road and overturned.
