Fostoria man injured in morning motorcycle accident in southern Wood County

BOWLING GREEN -- A Fostoria man was seriously injured today when his motorcycle went off U.S. 23 in southern Wood County, overturned and ejected him onto the roadway, according to the Bowling Green post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Duane Baker, 51, was taken by air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. No patient by that name was listed there.

Mr. Baker was driving a 1999 Harley-Davidson south on U.S. 23 near Pelton Road about 5:40 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the road, overcorrected, came back on the roadway, and overturned in the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet.

The investigation is pending.
