Michigan man charged with non-fatal stabbing of teen on University of Toledo campus.

A Michigan man has been charged with the non-fatal stabbing of a teen on the University of Toledo's campus.

Charged with felonious assault is Joseph Bialecki, 18, of 10307 Stark St., in Temperance. Mr. Bialecki is scheduled to be arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on Monday.

According to court documents, Mr. Bialecki allegedly stabbed Cody Halka, 17, during an altercation outside the McComas Village just after 2:30 a.m. Friday.

The Halka youth remains hospitalized.

It's not clear what prompted the initial off-campus dispute between two groups, but the involved people met again on campus when the fight broke out.

Domenic Hudson, 18, of 1909 Christie St., is charged with felonious assault, failure to comply, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest for allegedly kicking and punching Mr. Bialecki.

According to court documents, Mr. Bialecki suffered a left orbital fracture, a broken nose, and cuts to his hands and feet.

Mr. Hudson was identified by university officials as a freshman in the college of business and innovation, registered for the fall semester, and majoring in pre-entrepreneurship and family and small business.

Mr. Hudson, who remains in the Lucas County jail, was arrested shortly after the reported attack but not before taking police on a brief car chase.

He was stopped and arrested near campus in front of 2465 Douglas Rd.
