shot on Summit St.

A Toledo man was injured Wednesday and taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in what police called a “shoot-out.”

Toledo police said Anthony Nicholson, 2838 Mulberry St., was shot at least once in the buttocks as he exchanged fire with another person just before 1 p.m. today.

Mr. Nicholson was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Police responded to a call of a person shot and found Mr. Nicholson lying on the stairs inside a building at 3794 Manhattan Blvd.

Police determined the shooting took place nearby at 3740 N. Summit St.

No one has been arrested in the incident.

A hospital spokesman late Wednesday said there was no one there by that name.
