CLYDE, Ohio — At least three families were left homeless by a fire at an apartment complex in this Sandusky County community, authorities said.
Police were called about 3:40 a.m. Sunday to Laurel Greene Apartments in the 200 block of East Commerce Drive.
Fire crews evacuated at least six families and brought the blaze under control by 4:10 a.m., police said. Firefighters remained on the scene until about 11:30 a.m.
Police said the American Red Cross assisted at least three families with accommodations.
The state fire marshal is investigating.
The 40-unit complex is managed by the Woda Group Inc. of Westerville, Ohio. A spokesman for the firm did not return calls seeking information.
