BOWLING GREEN -- The last at-large suspect allegedly involved in the abduction and robbery of a University of Toledo student from China turned himself in to Bowling Green Municipal Court.

Bowling Green police said Nicholas Martinez, 19, of Toledo turned himself in today and was released on his own recognizance. He is charged with kidnapping and aggravated robbery after police said he and three others arranged to pick up a UT student under the guise of taking him to Cedar Point on Aug. 18.

Police said the four suspects instead drove the victim to a vacant house in Bowling Green, where he was robbed at knife point. After driving the victim to a hotel, the group tried unsuccessfully to extract a ransom payment from the student’s relatives in China before dropping him off unharmed near his Toledo residence.

Others charged in the case are Brittany Long, Hui Zang, and Blake Long, all of Toledo.
