Injury crash temporarily shuts Maumee Western in Monclova Twp.

Maumee Western Road, closed to traffic near Butz Road in Monclova Township for more than three hours today after an injury crash, has re-opened, the Lucas County Sheriff's Office said.

The crash happened about 7:30 a.m. at Butz and Maumee Western and involved a dump truck and a car, deputies said; traffic on the road returned to normal about 11 a.m.

Lucas County EMS said one victim was taken to St. Luke's Hospital although no further details were available.

The crash remained under investigation.
