Oak Harbor man injured when 2 trucks collided in Carroll Township

OAK HARBOR -- An Oak Harbor man was injured when two trucks collided Friday at Salem Carroll Road and State Rt. 19 in Ottawa County's Carroll Township, troopers at the Sandusky post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Norman Lanier, 51, of Port Clinton, stopped for the stop sign on westbound Salem Carroll at Route 19 about 6 p.m., then made a left turn into the path of Robert Wilburn, 24, of Oak Harbor, whose truck was northbound on Route 19, troopers said.

Mr. Wilburn was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. His condition was not available.

Troopers issued a citation to Mr. Lanier. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The crash site is about 25 miles east of Toledo.
