Two Southview High School students are accused of raping a third student at Olander Park.

The two suspects, who are 17 and 14 years old boys, are both charged in Lucas County juvenile court with one count of rape.

The two are accused of raping a 15-year-old girl, also a Southview student, at the park on Monday.

According to a Sylvania police report, the rape occurred at Olander Park at approximately 3:25 p.m. The incident was reported to police the same day at 3:40 p.m.

The report does not indicate specifics about the incident and only states that the victim was “forced to engage in sexual activity.”

Sylvania police said they are not commenting on the incident.

Sylvania schools Spokesman Nancy Crandell declined to comment citing the ongoing police investigation.

Ms. Crandell said counselors are available for students and classes have continued as normal.

She declined to say if the suspects have been suspended.
