Frenchtown home invasion suspect held

MONROE — Authorities this week arrested one of three suspects believed involved in a recent home invasion and armed robbery in Frenchtown Township.

The male suspect, 17, was arrested Wednesday and lodged in the Monroe County juvenile jail pending formal charges, Sheriff Dale Malone said Friday.

The suspect was 16 during the Aug. 8 incident; authorities aim to try him as an adult.

Authorities say two unidentified black males, one with a knife, one with a gun, robbed the homeowner on Cedar Creek Drive and fled to a wooded area behind the residence.

To report information, call the sheriff's office at 734-240-7717 or 734-240-7765.
