LAMBERTVILLE -- A girl was pronounced dead at Toledo Hospital on Saturday night after she was struck by a minivan on Whiteford Center Road in Bedford Township, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Marceille D. Glover, 59, of Toledo was driving the minivan south on Whiteford Center, south of Smith Road and just north of the state line, shortly after 8 p.m. when it struck the girl who was walking south on Whiteford Center, near the edge of the roadway, according to the sheriff's office.
The girl, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to the hospital by Monroe County Ambulance.
Neither Ms. Glover nor her passenger, James C. Verble, 59, of Toledo, were injured, according to the sheriff's office.
The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 734-240-7493.
