DUNDEE, Mich. – Officials have identified the man who died in a Monroe County crash Friday afternoon as John Pollock, 86, of Whitehouse.
Deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said a minivan, driven by Mr. Pollock, exited northbound U.S. 23 into a rest area at a high speed and hit a camper and tractor-trailer, which were both parked.
The crash at the Summerfield Township rest area was reported at 12:24 p.m.
Mr. Pollock was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
